Irrigation Annual Season
The Columbia Irrigation District (CID) is located in the Columbia Basin of Washington State. Our mission is to deliver water in a manner that maximizes supply for beneficial use and dependability, with consideration for fiscal restraint, in order to meet the needs of our patrons.
Every year, CID begins filling and flushing the canal system around March 20th, with the goal of having the system up and operational by April 15th. We recommend that patrons wait a week after the canal is filled to start using water, with the end of the water season set for October 13th. We will then start winterizing the system immediately, therefore patrons should shut off their valves immediately to prevent damage from freezing temperatures.
