Operation and Maintenance fees pay for maintaining the canal system and the general operations within the District.
The Surplus Fund is set up for unforeseen expenses such as canal breaks and to also fund canal lining projects.
The Drainage Fund is set up for projects addressing drainage issues throughout the District, such as installing drains and pumps to collect drainage water and other solutions for drainage.
Those individuals located in an LID (Local Improvement District) also pay LID maintenance fees each year.
