Policies
The CID’s operations and management is guided by Irrigation District Law, Title 87 RCW and other relevant state (e.g., Chapter 90.03 RCW) and federal laws. The CID’s primary policy is to serve the land owners within the District with an adequate, reliable water supply for irrigation with a high level of service at a reasonable cost.
The CID’s goal is to make available water delivery to all parcels within the CID classified as irrigable and whenever possible, to do so with pressurization for direct sprinkler application by the land owner. Pressurization on a large scale saves power and pump maintenance costs.
The CID has undertaken ongoing programs to rehabilitate older, weakened structures and conduits within the system. The CID also strives to reestablish District conduits to all original points of delivery wherever they have been lost or abandoned.
